February Literary Café: A Gathering of Humor and Debate

12/03/2025

Last Tuesday, February 25th, the library once again became the setting for a Literary Café gathering, where participants came together to share their impressions of The Adventure of the Ladies’ Dressing Table, by the renowned author Eduardo Mendoza.

During the session, we highlighted the book’s distinctive vocabulary and unmistakable touch of humor, elements that sparked diverse opinions among attendees. While the narrative maintained Mendoza’s characteristic ironic and satirical style, the story did not entirely surprise the readers.

When evaluating the book, it received a rating of 2.8 out of 5 stars. Although not considered an impactful read, the group agreed that it brought a touch of humor and offered a different option for enjoying a lighthearted and amusing story.

This meeting reaffirmed the diversity of tastes and the richness of literary exchange within our community. We will continue to explore new readings in the upcoming Literary Café gatherings, where every opinion and perspective enriches the shared experience.

Additionally, we take this opportunity to remind you of the invitation to participate in our next edition of the Literary Café, which will take place on Tuesday, March 25th, at 6:00 PM in the school library. On this occasion, we will be discussing the book El náufrag feliç by the author Ramon Folch i Camarasa.
