A week ago, the Primary and Secondary students finally started their 2024/25 classes. Three days later, the Baccalaureate and Vocational Training students began as well. This year with special excitement, as we will be celebrating the school’s 60th anniversary

Every new school year is filled with exciting challenges: the new students in each stage, especially the 1st Grade students who have transitioned from Avantis to Xaloc, are eagerly discovering the school that will be theirs for the next ten or twelve years.

Moreover, the school year that begins is not only the 60th anniversary but also the first year in which Xaloc offers the complete IB program: the IB Continuum, which provides all students with a cutting-edge educational methodology. As you know, last year we received the MYP verification, and this year marks the launch of the final course, MYP 5, completing the Middle Years Program: a crucial year in which students choose whether to continue with Baccalaureate or Professional Education, both offered at Xaloc.

"Tradition and innovation go hand in hand in this educational project that is now 60 years old: the spirit of the pioneers who built the school is still present in the forward-looking vision of those who build Xaloc today, day by day: teachers, board members, non-teaching staff, students, families, alumni, etc. We all look ahead, knowing we are the heirs of the effort, affection, and dedication of those who have passed through these classrooms and offices for more than half a century," reminds us Ricardo Benito, the school’s principal.

We thank all of you for the trust you have placed in this institution: to the families, for wanting to partner with Xaloc in your children's education; to the students, for your dedication and daily work in the classrooms; and to the teachers and non-teaching staff, for making these walls not just a school but a community.

Welcome, 2024/25 school year!
