A Congress to stop and think about What Really Matters

04/12/2023

On December 1, 1st grade of high school students attended the IX Edition of the LQDVI Congress, and some of them were volunteers in the organization

As stated on their website, "Lo Que De Verdad Importa Foundation is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is the dissemination of universal human values in society, focusing on promoting and strengthening the humanistic pillars that support the hope for a better world". And in their youth congress held in Barcelona last week, Xaloc students were present, listening to the testimonies of Carlos Llibre, who lost his twin brother, Julio Alberto, an elite football player who fell into drugs, and Àlex Roca, an athlete with cerebral palsy caused by shingles when he was 6 months old.

All these testimonies help us to focus on what is really important. And in Xaloc we try to educate about it. Therefore, we decided to get involved in the organization of the congress and several of our students were volunteers. Ferran Noés, a student in the 1st year of Bachillerato, had the honor of interviewing Julio Alberto, Atlético de Madrid and Barça ex-player.

Sometimes we need to slow down and think about the really important issues in life: and this congress has been a great opportunity to do so.

Thanks to the whole team and the splendid organization!
