04/12/2024

Families from Xaloc came together to craft Advent wreaths and table centerpieces, sharing unique moments filled with creativity, excitement, and reflection on the spirit of Advent in an activity that strengthens bonds and community spirit.

On Tuesday, November 26, and Saturday, November 30, the art classroom at Xaloc was brimming with enthusiasm and creativity during two workshops dedicated to crafting Advent wreaths. The event, aimed primarily at families with primary school students, also welcomed participants from secondary school and vocational training programs, making it an intergenerational experience.

The priest began the activity with a reflection on the meaning of Advent, emphasizing values of hope and spiritual preparation. Then, a technical explanation helped attendees shape their wreathspieces that will not only decorate homes but also serve as cherished family symbols during this special season.

In addition to wreaths, participants designed table centerpieces, adding their personal touch to each creation. This initiative provided a unique opportunity to foster creativity, share family moments, and keep the Advent spirit alive.

With high attendance and a warm, collaborative atmosphere, the event was a resounding success, reaffirming the school’s commitment to traditions that unite and enrich its educational community.
