31/01/2025

The students listened in English to the inspiring story of Amin Sheikh, a street child turned educational leader.

On Friday, January 24th, Amin Sheikh visited the school to give a talk to the students of PAI 2 to PAI 4. Amin, who had a difficult childhood as a street child in Mumbai, is now the director of an educational organization that supports children and young people in situations of social exclusion.

During his talk, which was delivered in English, Amin shared his impactful personal story and motivated the students to reflect on the importance of personal change and social responsibility. He spoke about how his persevering attitude helped him overcome adversity and urged the students to take responsibility for their future and contribute to society in a positive way.

The students showed great interest in his story, asking various questions and reflections that enriched the talk. This interaction made the session more participatory and helped the students connect with the values Amin shared.

Additionally, during the event, Amin sold his book, and from Xaloc, we encourage families to purchase it. Some copies will also be available in our library. This activity was a valuable opportunity to promote values such as solidarity, personal responsibility, and perseverance among the students.
