Yesterday, Thursday, December 12th, hundreds of people enjoyed the musical adaptation of "The Strange Case of Mr. Malpàs," performed by the Primary students.

Yesterday, Thursday, December 12th, Xaloc experienced one of the most special evenings of the year with the performance of the Christmas play. Hundreds of family members and friends attended to support the Primary students in this traditional celebration, which this year took the form of a musical adaptation of the classic A Christmas Carol, titled The Strange Case of Mr. Malpàs.

This year, the event held even greater significance as it marked the 60th anniversary of the school. To commemorate this milestone, all Primary students joined the parentschoir at the end of the performance to sing a final song that deeply moved everyone in attendance. It was a magical moment symbolizing the unity, community spirit, and traditions that define Xaloc.

The play, performed by Primary students, captivated the audience with its enthusiastic and creative staging. Through heartfelt performances, captivating songs, and moments of humor and reflection, the story conveyed profound messages about empathy, transformation, and the Christmas spirit. The room was filled with constant applause, smiles, and even a few tears of emotion, making the event an absolute success.

These activities are much more than a celebration. They form an integral part of the educational process for students in the Primary Years Programme (PYP), fostering essential skills such as self-confidence, effective communication, creativity, and teamwork. Furthermore, these performances strengthen the bonds between the educational community and families, promoting an enriching and meaningful sense of connection during the studentseducational journey.

Xaloc’s Christmas play is a cherished tradition that brings unique and unforgettable moments to the entire community each year. In 2023, with The Strange Case of Mr. Malpàs and as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations, the talent and enthusiasm of the youngest students once again shone brightly, leaving an impression that will remain in the hearts of all who attended.
