ESCOLA CONCERTADA per la Generalitat de Catalunya
This week, the 4th grade of Primary students have enjoyed a visit from Dr. Nicsa, a parent of one of the students, who conducted a workshop on basic CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and the Heimlich maneuver.
CPR is an emergency procedure to save lives performed when someone has stopped breathing or their heart has stopped beating. This can occur after a medical emergency such as an electric shock, heart attack, or drowning.
On the other hand, the Heimlich maneuver is a first aid procedure used when a person is choking. It is a maneuver that can even be performed on oneself if alone and without assistance.
This activity is part of the Transdisciplinary Inquiry Unit: "Who We Are: Knowing and Taking Care of Our Bodies."
With Ash Wednesday, a liturgical season of conversion begins, where we prepare our body and spirit to live the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ
The teaching staff at Xaloc prepares these excursions with great enthusiasm, as they are a perfect opportunity to talk to them in a relaxed environment and to strengthen the relationship between classmates and teachers
They will have to be done online from March 6th until the 20th, in case of Primary, and from March 8th until the 20th in Secondary
