On Sunday, March 16, 2025, the Family Hiking Group (GEF) of Xaloc – Pineda – Avantis held its fourth hike of the season with a route through the Rodal de Sabadell. This outing was designed for all ages, featuring an easy and accessible itinerary, perfect for enjoying nature as a family.

The hike began at a picnic area near the Ripoll River, where participants set off on a walk that took them through iconic spots such as the Bassa de Can Català and the Colobrers stream. Along the way, they visited the Colobrers spring, the Tosca spring, the Foradada rock formation, and the Can Moragues spring. The final stretch followed easy trails and dirt paths, passing by the Three-Branch Pine and the hermitage of Mare de Déu de Togores.

With a total distance of 8 km and an accumulated elevation gain of 150 meters, the route was ideal for all ages, from young children to older participants. In total, 36 people, ranging from 3 to 58 years old, enjoyed this hiking day. Despite unstable weather forecasts, the rain held off until lunchtime, allowing the excursion to take place without any issues.

The next and final hike of the season is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2025. On this occasion, participants plan to climb Costa Pubilla or Pla de Pujalts (2,056 m) and Coma Ermada (2,000 m), starting from the sanctuary of Santa Maria de Montgrony.
