This year marks 60 years since Xaloc opened its doors, thanks to the efforts of a group of parents who built the school. We celebrate the anniversary with the creation of the reliefs of San Josemaría and San José, inviting the community to participate in this project that reinforces our values and enriches our oratory.
Today, together, we continue writing the history of Xaloc. A history guided by the teachings of St. Josemaría and the example of St. Joseph, two life models we want to see present in our oratory.
That’s why we invite you to take part in our new project: completing the school’s oratory by placing two polychrome resin reliefs, one of St. Josemaría and one of St. Joseph. Both will be placed to the right and left of the tabernacle, directing their gaze toward the most important thing: Jesus.
Each relief will be made of polychrome resin, with dimensions of 215x150 cm. Both will be framed in wrought iron to harmonize with the current design of the ambo and the altar doors.
The cost of each relief is €38,000, a sum we hope to raise with the involvement of everyone in the Xaloc community, as a way to commemorate our beginnings by inviting everyone to donate so that the reliefs can be sculpted.
An online fundraising campaign has been launched, allowing donors to choose which piece of the relief they would like to bear their name—what a meaningful way to build something together!
If you want to learn more about the project, visit the following page: https://www.fundacioxaloc.org/relievesoratorio and find out about the tax benefits your donation will provide.
