The Santa Cecilia festivity at Xaloc was a celebration that brought together students, families, and educators through music, highlighting the school’s commitment to this discipline as an educational and community-building tool.
Last Friday, November 22nd, we celebrated with enthusiasm the feast day of the patron saint of music and musicians, offering a unique opportunity to strengthen the bonds within the educational community through music, a discipline that is a fundamental part of the school’s educational project.
After the morning mass, attendees enjoyed an emotional musical performance by the Primary School choir, which showcased all their talent and passion in every note, and the Cor Affabile, made up of parents, teachers, and staff from Xaloc.
This project, which involves the entire educational community, reflects the effort and dedication of all school members to promote music as a tool for growth and cohesion. The highlight of the day was the collaboration between the two choirs in the oratory, where they performed a piece together, creating a magical atmosphere that united students, families, and staff.
The event emphasized the importance we place on music as an educational tool. Not only do we offer extracurricular music activities, but we also have a music pathway within our curriculum, allowing students to develop their musical skills from an early age. The Cor Affabile is another example of the school’s commitment to preserving the musical tradition, involving families and educators in the creative process.
This celebration was a reminder of how music can transcend the classroom walls and establish deep emotional connections. The day was a resounding success, where the power of music as a universal language was evident in the unity of all participants.
Once again, Xaloc reaffirmed its strong commitment to music as an essential element of education, not only as an academic discipline but also as a source of personal and community enrichment.
