Success is not measured by what we collect but by what we become to when we give to others

Students, teachers, and administrative staff have joined forces to make the Christmas Campaign a hallmark of the school

As you know, the Xaloc community has carried out, once again, the collection of food and basic products that have been distributed to four different associations: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade students have provided food for Cáritas this Christmas; 2nd and 4th-grade secondary students have brought diapers and some infant products for the Maternity NGO; other students have collected food for the Bellvitge Parish. In addition, teachers and administrative staff have brought chocolates to Nou Quitxalles.

Each of these NGOs focuses on different needs in our society: Cáritas, for many years, has provided food to anyone in need; similarly, the Bellvitge Parish aims to supply families in the neighborhood and the city who are in need. The Maternity Project was born out of the concern of people trying to support pregnant women without resources. Finally, the Nou Quitxalles Association, dedicated to education and social action, collaborates with programs supporting families and their children.

The campaign has a dual purpose: firstly, to mobilize the school and dedicate part of our time to collecting food for those in need. But, also, it manages to revive the true spirit of Christmas, which is embodied in placing others at the center of our actions. Advent has served as a constant reminder of the importance of solidarity, preparing our hearts for December 25th.

From the school, we want to thank students and families for their generosity, for showing the human side of a world that sometimes moves very fast, often characterized by rampant consumerism. Xaloc's solidarity campaign emphasizes the importance of looking beyond oneself, building bridges, and creating a united community. This gesture of solidarity undoubtedly leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who participated, reminding us that the meaning of Christmas lies in giving to others.
