ESCOLA CONCERTADA per la Generalitat de Catalunya
The world is moving towards new horizons, which require all the pillars supporting children's development to advance as well. One of the most important pillars is education: the focus on learning and teaching must evolve to meet the changing needs of our students.
Traditionally, education has focused on theoretical content: students receive an endless stream of data to memorize and regurgitate on demand to meet evaluation requirements. This is why the PYP (Primary Years Program) serves as the framework through which many schools, including Xaloc, Zürich, and San Cristóbal, equip ourselves to provide our students with the necessary tools to become leaders in their own transdisciplinary learning.
The IB (International Baccalaureate) offers schools this training so that students can navigate this ever-changing world hand in hand with their teachers. This weekend, Xaloc has organized the official course on "Research in Inquiry", which equips teachers with the tools to address the new needs of teaching.
