Center Digital Strategy

The Digital Center Strategy (DCS) is a document that includes all the actions that are carried out in a center, and those that will be carried out in the medium term, to achieve the maximum digital competence of students, teachers and the educational center. It must have as a reference the Digital Education Plan of Catalonia (DEPC), which indicates the need to achieve the goal of a digitally competent society, emphasizing equity and taking into account the evolution of the social and technological context.

The DCS document will be the centre's reference in the field of digital technologies. Therefore, it is important that this document also includes the daily management of the digital organization of the center. What is the center doing on digital issues? What actions does the center already have consolidated and work? The center may have already developed and written plans, procedures, regulations, protocols, etc. The DCS must collect, at least, the references to be able to find them in an easy and agile way.

The deployment of the DCS throughout the courses will also generate more activities that are important to add to the DCS. For example, if a center makes the diagnosis and detects that new teachers have difficulties adapting to digital issues, the strategic part of the DCS will indicate an objective in this regard. And most likely, one of the actions to achieve this goal will be the creation of a digital welcome plan for new teachers. When the action has already been carried out, this digital hosting plan will be incorporated into the digital culture part of the DCS document. In this way, the DCS will collect all the digital aspects of the center.

In this part of digital culture of the DCS you can incorporate references to the NOFC, references to procedures of the quality system that the center has, faculty or School Council agreements, specific plans designed to improve specific aspects, protocols to follow for the management of services, authorizations that families must sign, descriptions of the services used in the centre, references to the JEP for the methodological part of the use of technologies, etc.
